SMS Terms

These SMS Terms apply to text messages sent by HomePhone, operated by EDNA LABS LLC.

1. HomePhone SMS Program

HomePhone uses SMS to support account creation, phone number verification, household invitations, account security, service notifications, and shared household calling and messaging functionality.

HomePhone does not use this SMS program to send third-party advertising or unrelated promotional messages.

2. How Users Opt In

Users may opt in through the HomePhone mobile application or website.

During registration, a user enters their personal mobile phone number and requests a one-time verification code. By requesting the code and completing verification, the user consents to receive messages required to create and secure their account.

An existing household member may also enter another person’s mobile number to send a household invitation.

An invited user must open the invitation, create or sign in to a HomePhone account, verify their personal mobile number, accept the household invitation, and agree to the HomePhone Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before gaining access to the household.

3. Types of Messages

Messages may include:

  • One-time verification codes
  • Household invitations
  • Account security notifications
  • Password or login notifications
  • Service-related alerts
  • Support responses
  • Notifications related to a shared HomePhone number

4. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on account activity, verification requests, household invitations, security events, and use of HomePhone features.

5. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.

HomePhone is not responsible for carrier charges.

6. Opting Out

You may reply STOP to supported automated HomePhone messages to stop receiving further messages from that messaging program.

After you send STOP, you may receive one final message confirming that your opt-out request has been processed.

You may also leave a household or delete your account through the HomePhone application when those controls are available.

Opting out may prevent phone verification, household invitations, or other HomePhone features from functioning.

8. Supported Carriers

Delivery is subject to carrier availability. Mobile carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

9. Privacy

Information collected through the HomePhone SMS program is handled according to our Privacy Policy .

Mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

10. Terms of Service

Your use of HomePhone is also governed by our Terms of Service .
